A Long Time Coming..
Hello to everyone in thecatempire.info land!
Unfortunately due to some sporadic internet problems, this website reversed over 6 months into the past. In this happening, a massive amount of posts in the forums were lost as well as main page updates.
Here is the lowdown:
The Cat Empire are trying to take over the world.
They have spent the most part of 2007 overseas from playing at festivals in Europe to playing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Currently, they are still completing their second round of North America this year.
Come August, they will be doing their first round of Australia for the 07, promoting a much anticipated new album. Comments around the Internet have mentioned TCE including new songs in tour setlists, namely one titled 'Fishies'.
It looks like there are exciting times ahead! Remember to check the forums for discussions on what is happening next.

The Prince of Wales loves TCE
The boys eagerly awaited return to home soil had a short and sweet stay. Rest for a few weeks was capped off with 3 big nights at the Prince of Wales in Melbourne, with forum members being very honest on their opinions of the shows. Wednesday nights show had some polite suggestions accompanying the reviews, with the Thursday night show appearing to incorperate some of these ideas.
Coincidence? Or power of the fan base? You decide.
The boys are back on the road again, gracing North America with their presence once more. American and Canadian fans, get your tickets quick smart! And Australian fans, don't forget about the The Cat Empire Big Soul Australia tour..

Whirlwind World Tour & Brief Homecoming
The boys have been run off their feet the past 2 and a half months performing shows all across the USA and Canada, with their final shows in Europe fast approaching. A number of international forum members have shared stories, with a neverending flow of positive reviews about the gigs they have attended. On the popular TCE myspace comment after comment state that their shows have been the 'BEST SHOW EVER, clearly demonstrating their unmatched live show spirit has also taken the rest of the world by storm.
Australian fans should be aware the boys have planned a 'Prince of Wales Stopover' before heading back to North America. Shows at the Prince of Wales in Melbourne have been planned for the 20th, 21st and recently announced 22nd of September. The 21st has already sold out, so get in quick if you want some tickets for the other nights. No doubt TCE will be happy to be back at home for a short time, and shows at POW are ones you definitely don't want to miss.
..... And as if it is the night that never ends, after their second stint in North America, The Cat Empire Big Soul Australia Tour has been announced! Tickets go on sale around August 21st for this set of shows, and again, be quick; these things love to sell out!

TCE.info Forums are hacked... again
Howdy folks,
The TCE.info forums have been hacked, and damaged badly. This is mostly my fault for not being able to spend more time on the forums, so I didn't keep up to date with security fixes. An automated attack overwrote a lot of the database configuration, which as broken a lot of stuff.
I have upgraded some of the software, but have no idea if it's secure. The forums are not functioning properly right now, and I will be working to get them back up.
Sorry for the problems, it's a total headache.

TCE say Au Revoir Australia.. Hello World
Just like the Socceroos gave Melbourne a final enthralling goodbye before heading overseas en route to the World Cup, TCE followed identically in their footsteps, treating less than 100 fans to a final show before the kick off to their world tour tomorrow.
Held at Dizzys Jazz club in Melbourne, most fans enjoyed the carefree way the band went about the gig, highlights including the asking of any requests, and allowing some vocal audience members, (including tce.info forum members) a chance to sing along with Harry at his request.
A night filled with memorable moments, comments and a setlist have been provided, sharing the memories for those unable to be in attendance.
The last performance on Australian soil for around 5 and a half months should hopefully see some more activity happening in the International sections of the forums. North American and European fans, these forums want you!

TCE on tour - and TCE.info on the blink
The site has been offline for about 24 hours due to problems with my web host. I'm not sure what the details are, but it seems to be sorted out now. So let the TCE fandom continue!
The latest news: the international tour for the band has been announced, and it's the biggest yet. It's going to be huge, taking in more of Europe than ever before, a venture to Japan, as well as heaps of gigs across North America. Combined with the likely release of Two Shoes internationally, 2006 is going to be totally out of control.

Cities Goes to Number 11 in First Week
Cities is out, reviews are in, Ollie is in search of Limited Edition #77, and the CD is selling like funk-flavoured hotcakes. In its first week, Cities reached Number 11 on the ARIA album charts, against stiff competition from local and overseas bands, and without a single to help it out. It looks like TCE's latest venture back into the Melbourne sound is being well-received.
