Unofficial annoucement of the Official "Name The New TCE Album" Competition

Even though it's not our competition, I thought it best to support the official site with their latest escapade; of course, it's no Adelphia or Chariot promo DVD, but it's just as good. :-)

The Cat Empire have decided to let our fans decide on the name of our next album. Some might say we are not as creative as you! Or simply that you know us better than we do.

Competition closing date : 31 Jan 2005
Competition location : Worldwide

The band will shortlist to five and one of those five may become the title for the new album.

Those five people will receive a prize pack containing:
1 frisbee, 1 key-ring, a cap, and a t-shirt or singlet.

WOW! How cool is that??!! Get your thinking caps on people, and let's see if we can't win this one for .info!

New Photos from Bluesfest

Thanks to a friend of funky_monk, we've got some great photos of TCE at Bluesfest. Check them out on the Bluesfest gig page, they're worth a look.

The only news about the album recording comes from Flecktone in our own forums, and is less than fulfilling:

let's just say it's alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll good.

don't worry about where they are/what they're doing... it's all under control and we're going to get a fan-'f'ing-tastic album.

So there you go!

Forum problems fixed

The forums have been unaccessible for a couple of days now. This was due to a severe vulnerability in phpBB which would have left TCE.info exposed to hackers and ne'er-do-wells, so my hosting company took the unusual measure of shutting off access temporarily. The forums have now been upgraded and don't have this flaw anymore, and they are back online.

Thanks for your patience, now get back in there and catch up on all you've missed.

Forum problems

We are currently experiencing some problems using the forums. Right now, it's unclear what's causing the error, but as far as I can tell it is a server problem and not local (eg. we have not been hacked, and I haven't stupidly changed something).

It will be fixed as soon as possible, but in the meantime, hang in there...

UPDATE: There was a major problem discovered in the forum software we are using (phpBB); due to the severity of this flaw, our hosts temporarily disabled all forums. Things will be back to normal soon.

What's New at TCE.info?

Things are a little quiet in TCE-land at the moment: the band has disappeared into a secret recording studio in Transylvania and we're left waiting for their emergence at the end of the year.

Things have been slow here on the site too: I've been overseas and haven't had much time for updates and things. But I'm back now, and happy to say that there's a backlog of TCE media waiting for me! New tabs, new videos and photos, all will be put up over the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned!
