With their hectic amount of touring this year, the boys are finally on the home stretch. Eight more gigs mark the end of 2005 for them, with most of these shows already being sold out. Throughout this tour so far, many have contributed reviews and some spectacular photos that you may like to browse through in the forums. If you've been unlucky enough to miss out, you can live vicariously through others!
With that being said, the Empire Caption Contest is steamrolling along, with many, many winners over the past few weeks. If you have kept up to date with the past winning entries, it wont be suprising that there has been little topic change in the captions.

"Carlo's inner conflict- to play his instrument like any back up should do, or to give in to the terrible idea that was born, having the Empire Horns sing back up."
( _saltwater gives us some insight into how Carlo really feels.)

"Like Father, Like Son."
(Has Mailman uncovered an Empire secret?)

Zazzy: "Jumps: im telling you man! im so over playing the tambourine!"
Strawberry & The Yak: "Jumps: I can't believe Kieran thinks Zazzy and Strawberry are sisters!!!!
Felix: Are you serious?"
(Joint winners on this occassion; Zazzy telling the world about Jumps' dismay while on stage, and yours truly and The Yak telling Kieran what Felix and Jumps think of his statements.)

"Ollie: LoLz0rz I'M T3H AZN!!!1"
(What Mailman forgot to decode 'lol I'm the asian'. A caption only the true internet geek would appreciate.)

Psst... wanna see a cool band? They're these guys from Melbourne, they kinda play jazz and funk and hiphop and latin, but they're a bit gypsy and - well, anyway, they're cool, you have to hear them. Anyway, they're doing a little gig on Sunday night at the Seymour Centre, there's not many tickets for it and you should totally check it out. They're going to be big one day!
Call the Sound Lounge on (02) 9351-7940 and get some tix, people, it's secret gig time!
The last official TCE competition was a "what's the next competition?" competition... confused? The next-competition-competition-winning competition is a variant on the classic Triple J "Beat The Drum" scenario: the aim is to show off the TCE logo as widely and as creatively as you can! Full details can be found from the competitions page.
Personally, I'll give a special prize to anyone who does any of the following:
Good luck, everyone. It's summer, the boys are on tour, get out there and have some fun.

The Cat Empire's own mini festival marking the kick off of their national 'The Night That Never End' tour.
It featured various Melbourne bands such as SIB, King Curly and Buttered Loaf. The Space Cowboy performed some extraordinary bodily feats during The Cat Empire's set. This show also saw the debut of one of their new songs entitled, 'The Soul'.

November has rolled around and it's only 3 days until the boys kick off their second Australian national tour of this year. Tickets for many shows have sold out, so be hasty and buy some if there are any left at your end of town.
In celebration, we have two new caption contest winners of late:

"And on the 6th day, God created Kieran... and dot info rejoiced, for the butt of all jokes was born."
(Shakalak is back, proving if Kieran's name is mentioned in a caption, you're almost guarenteed the win)
The next image is a gem! Check it out in this thread.
